What is Vacation Bible School? it's the chance for our church to reach out to the children in our community
with the good news of Jesus Christ, and have a fun time in so doing. we spend three hours each weekday for
one week in an exciting setting geared just for the needs of children and suited to capture their attention
and keep their interest.

Another favorite is the penny offering, in which children are encouraged to bring in pennies. The Pennies
are put into buckets and weighed against the pennies brought in by the other team. Some years the buckets
aren't big enough! The pennies go toward supporting missionaries on the field.
As you may expect, there is singing. A lot of the songs have actions associated with them. The biggest
challenge most children face is trying to keep up when the songs are sung in "Hyper-drive!"
There are plenty of games and other activities for the children
to showcase their skills
and abilities. Some require more skill, some require more energy!
To give children and the helpers the energy boost they need after
all the excitement, they are
given a snack break.

There is also the chance for more traditional
teaching, as the bible study with Mr. Choi 's class (hard at work). We also have craft time and a missionary story, which points the children to others
that have found purpose and fulfillment in Christ.

The balloon relay tops out the closing rally before
the kids are dismissed. It can be quite an exciting event, as those who've witnessed one can affirm!
As the week draws to a close, the children are afforded the opportunity to dunk the staff
(as was the case here), or to help them eat a pie.
